You can only use this with other MySMS users... Waste of time. I suggest you move that part of the app description to the very top. I am not going to invite all 50+ people I text on a daily basis, just so I can text from my tablet. Make it work with existing contacts/phone numbers and iMessage and then we will talk about the $4 for the pro version. Or make that a pro feature! Integration, not separation...

Do not buy. SMS from anywhere means your contacts will also have to have this application on their device. It is not an SMS client but a IM client. Misleading. I would like a refund.

some phones were a crapshoot, sms would not always make it to their phone. but it worked great for my needs.

Idont like it because only users of it can text and it only works on your phone.

The iOS version requires your friends to install the app in order to text. Very promising product rendered useless by apple. Just get whatsapp.

Add the ability to send and read the actual text messages from your iPhone and this would be a 5 star review.

I read everything on the detail page but somehow missed where it states "works ONLY with other mysms users. Uninstalled.

In two words, this is a great App. However, some things need to be fixed! For example, 1) the checks, that are sent when Im not in the app - should show only when Im inside the app 2) more customizable profile / name / picture 3) UPDATE FOR IOS 8 :) Other then that, very nice design, clean, and easy to use! Recommend this!

This app was totally misrepresented claiming to support cross platform texting to ANY contact. Turns out it only works with other MySms users. How am I supposed to get 100+ people to sign up for a messaging app that only I need? Ridiculous.

Its good but ever since I updated to iOS 8 I can only ever see my first line of text when I am writing and its reallyyyyyyy annoying so if they can fix that everything will be great

I was sucked in. Assumed it wd send SMS to any phone. But no, only to mysms users. Abs. no use to me. Most phone plans have free and anyway. Maybe for regular OS contacts, but even then, wifi is a good alternative. I shd have read the reviews. App shd make its limits clear.

Why say that is can send SMS and MMS if it cannot send SMS and MMS? Its just another proprietary messaging client (like Whatsapp, Line, etc.).

You need to invite people to MySms so you can text them from your computer. Very pointless, uninstalled.

Could be a good program but only works between mysms users. It allows you to use your iPhone address book but doesn’t do much good if they don’t use mysms too. Very limited.

This app is great until you find out how terrible it is. Save yourself some hassle and dont even bother downloading it. It doesnt even deserve one star

They say theres an option to "text-via" which basically should send through your mobile carrier from your desktop PC. Dont have a Mac which is why I got. Dont bother you can only send messages to people with the app. Stupid

Apparently Apple restricts third party apps like this one from allowing SMS texts via your mobile carrier on iOS. That is not practical -- I am not going to ask my contacts to install a desktop application just so they can receive my SMS messages.

I read reviews online, wish Id seen them here first. Exactly as the others are saying, you can only message people who have the app. Youll be asked to have others install the app, which I wont do. Thought this would be an effective way to message from my iphone via my tablet, boy was I wrong. Save your energy, this thing is junk.
